How to Make Tootsie Pops/Tootsie Rolls for Baby and Toddlers

There are several fun things to do with Tootsie Pops. They are small, cute balls of candy that children will love to play with. You can make them yourself or buy them in the store, they really are nothing special. One way to get creative with them is to add a personal touch by transforming them into different shapes and colors.

There are several ways to make a tootsie. Some are more time consuming than others, but with the help of your toddler you should be able to make one within 15 minutes. Here are some things you can do to transform tootsie pop into something a little more appealing.

First, you will need a small soft cloth, such as a baby wipe or washcloth, craft glue, small ball of latex paint, and a small paint brush. Let's start with the tootsie stick, which is the concave part on the bottom of the candy. Take your craft glue and stick a small ball of latex paint onto the concave side. Once the paint dries, press it slightly onto the back of your toddler's hand. This will form the impression.

Next, make a round or oval mold of your child's hand using the craft glue and ball of latex paint. Press your child's hand into the mold. Then take a piece of clothing and poke four or five holes on the back through which you can attach the tootsie. You will need enough clothes for at least two people, so make sure you get more than enough.

Now comes the fun part, the tootsie pop! Take your child's tights, make a small ball of them, and insert them into the ball of tights that you have made. Now press your child's hand into the stuffed animal. The latex should adhere to the hands quite well, but try not to get too close to the face, as that could cause problems. Once this is complete, allow your child about five minutes to play with the tootsie. Then take the latex-balled piece of fabric and pull it through the hole in the top of the tootsie.

Finally, thread a ribbon through the hole in the bottom, so that it forms a loop. Tie a large bow on the end of the bow and secure it to the tootso pops by sewing it directly onto the stuffed animal. This is a fairly easy craft to make, and you will certainly be making some fantastic tools pops for your baby or toddler. Make sure that you always give your children a great time, and they are sure to be thrilled with their new tools pops. Happy crafting!
