Willy Wonka

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory may be a hit for kids this Halloween, but there are adults who will enjoy this movie as much or maybe even more! Adults who love candy can't get enough of Willy Wonka and all of the delicious treats he creates. The chocolate factory may be on everyone's must-see list this Halloween! Here are a few other fun facts about Willy Wonka and the candy factory that you might find interesting.

You may have heard or seen in a number of different forms that Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory were based on the Roald Dahl novel "Chocolat" which was published in 1928. While that is indeed the source of many of the images and stories associated with the film, it was not the original source and it was never intended to be. In fact, Roald Dahl never wanted the name of the candy creation to be named after him nor did he ever want the film to be made at all!

In all actuality, Willy Wonka was a young boy who worked in his father's candy store. He took over from his father when his father died and soon began his own business in the candy section. There he met and became friends with a young lady by the name of Marion Gann. They quickly fell in love and soon after began making chocolate candies in partnership with other people. The gumball machines that we are all familiar with from the movie came about because Marion Gann would often bake gumballs and places them in the gumball machines to make them more exciting.

Soon after their business began to boom, Willy decided he wanted to develop a number of different candy products and one of them was a gumball machine that used "sour candy" instead of sugar. This is the same basic formula that we know of today as chocolate gumballs and is still one of the best selling sweets on the market today. After Willy Wonka discovered this unique new sweet, he began to market it to children in order to help pay for his traveling expenses. This was a very wise decision, since children are often more receptive to different and healthier snacks. In addition, Willy Wonka realized that kids do not like "junk foods" and he would go on to create many more health foods for the children to enjoy.

In addition to selling Willy Wonka candies, Wonka also began to make baked treats for the children. This was a big hit and is still one of the most popular dessert treats sold today. The original work candies are made of gummy candy and are covered in chocolate, making them very enticing. They taste good and are quite easy to chew, which explains why they remain one of the top selling sweets worldwide.

There are a number of different types of Wonka products that are sold today and each has their own unique flavor. Some of these flavors include: Fudge Sweetarts, Minty Sweetarts, Caramel Apple, Choc Coconut, Apple Pecan, Candied Chocolate and Dark Chocolate. In addition, there are several different types of recipe kits available as well. These recipe kits include such things as chocolate kisses, drizzled over ice cream, and even an assortment of ginger candy. All of these delicious recipes will tantalize your taste buds and make you want to eat more!

One of the most popular styles of candy that Wonka's manufacturers have created is laffy taffy. These laffy taffy products are a mixture of milk and confectioner sugar and then scented with fruits like apples, cherries and oranges. There are several different varieties available, including ones that are scented only with cherries or orange and others that are both fruit and chocolate. These laffy taffy treats are often packaged in attractive bottle caps and are available in a number of different flavors.

The original Willy Wonka was a huge success because it combined two seemingly unconnected ingredients to create one of America's most popular sweets. Candy was not quite as popular as it is today, but the simple, delicious, laffy taffy was a huge success. The popularity of Willy Wonka and other Willy Wonka candies continue today, even after all these years. If you're looking for a fun and tasty way to snack, then you can't go wrong with a box of laffy taffy!
